We had a wonderful time celebrating Volunteers Week on Wednesday, June 10th, with our event at The Bear Hotel in Devizes. Many of our volunteers attended to hear our Chair, Jo Owen-Jones, express the board’s thanks and to hear Fatma talk about the difference Home-Start made to her life and that of her twin girls. We also had many poignant quotes available for people to read.
Our thanks also to Deputy Mayor of Devizes, Vanessa Tanner, for her contribution, to representatives of New Resource of Melksham for attending and to Goughs Solicitors for supporting us as their charity of the year.
As we said on the day, without volunteers, we couldn’t offer this service to families and make such a difference to so many children’s life experiences.
